Chugga chugga choo choo! After a long journey and lots of planning and hard work, The Juicy Caboosy in Long Beach is on track to open early next year on the corner of Mason Avenue and West Fifth Street in Long Beach!
About The Juicy Caboosy
The Juicy Caboosy in Long Beach will be a juice and cocktail bar in a caboose on the coast. Two friends who met thanks to careers in railroad also shared a dream of owning their own business.
As the story goes, Tomeka Bryant and Ailsa von Dobeneck discovered an old red caboose was for sale in Pattonsburg, Missouri, in July 2021. They made a big decision and bought it sight unseen.
Fast-forward a year and three months, and the little red caboose that traveled from the Show Me State to the Magnolia State was finally mounted on its raised foundation on October 19th.
Now, renovations and the build-out will continue throughout the end of this year. Along with the 1942 restored steel caboose, there will be a pole barn for indoor seating and lawn games for outdoor fun.
If all goes well, visitors can be sipping and snacking at The Juicy Caboosy from “sun up to sundown” by 2023!
Technically, the menu is still in the planning stages, but we know it will be loaded with healthy juices, boozy juices and a grab-and-go menu with snacks to share.
Besides drinks and bites to nibble, The Juicy Caboosy in Long Beach will be serving sweet treats made by another small business, Coastal CakePops. Make sure you remember to try the Juicy Caboosy railroad-themed exclusive flavors—Strawberry Cheesecake and Lemony Orange Marmalade!
